Honestly, Valentines Day seems a million years ago now- since then we have a little bunny in our home named Buster who is 9 weeks old, a mini lop and a massive handful! Ive just spent the last half an hour trying to get him back into his cage.. we want him to be a house bunny but I think hes got a little too much freedom for such a tiny baby (he is staring at me sulkily as I write this.)

For Valentines Day me and Chase went to a restaurant called The Cosy Club in Leicester. Its interior is very vintage/tea rooms/pinterest and I LOVE it! We've eaten there before but this time it was nice to go for a 3 course meal and spend some time talking. away from all the distractions of every day life and social media. 

We're still testing out different settings with my camera, which to be honest would come out alot better if we researched and came off of the auto buttons, but for these photos when time was precious and indoor lighting and focusing was hard, hopefully they'll do! 

I got these jeans and this jacket (which is actually a dress) from the 'House of Holland' sample sale I went to in June, I love them and have been waiting for a time to style them up and dress them. I always thinks perfect clothes need to have the best first outfit ensemble, and then I can wear them day in day out wherever/however! I wore them with these River Island heels which I bought back when I was on my placement year at uni and have never got around to wearing! On a night out I'm a flats kinda gal and I cant drive and walk EVERYWHERE which rules out every day heels, but once I can drive they'll be on my feet alot more ^.^ (obviously not whilst im driving.. I'm definetely not that good ;))

I don't even remember the last time I took some time to write on this little corner of the internet, but I know its been quite awhile. The past few months have been like a whirlwind of emotions, memories and achievements; me and my boyfriend now have a little two bedroom house and I'm an accessories designer, designing bags + purses which is CRAZY.

 I left University in June scared out of my mind, staying at my boyfriends parents and working at our local petrol station, and as much as I dreaded being in that situation it gave me some time to breathe (inbetween searching and applying for jobs everysingleday on indeed!) and I'm only now over this Christmas break just starting to come up for air and starting to plan where I'm going to next both personally and professionally. I still want for more creativity and more freedom within that and I want to start carving out a place for myself within fashion, I want to learn as much as I can as an accessories designer and I want to draw more, I want to illustrate and I want to explore trend further in a freelance/independent capacity. I feel theres so many corners of this creative industry I enjoy and this year I need to start properly trying to accomplish something for myself and I want to find where I fit in ^.^

Today was the nicest day! Me and Chase went up to Sheffield yesterday and had fun wandering around Meadowhall, eating nandos, watching (and chase obsessing over) Ant Man + staying oveernight watching hotel tv !

Today we carried on our journey up North and reached York! First stop was a yummy breakfast in a little cafe,we then walked under and over the city bridge, explored vintage shops, went on a guided tour around the cathedral, had fish and chips and went all round 'The Shambles'! York is so pretty and you can feel the history as you walk around, it was a perfect day out in my new Docs! (which im in love with!) and I managed to get some cool photos with this cat ^.^ I recently got this cockatoo blouse from a vintage shop in Nottingham and I am in love with it! It reminded me why I love to rummage for good finds and I definetely want to make a point of going round charity shops + car boot sales through the summer to see what else I can find ^.^

I love this bugs bunny bag I picked up last week in H&M, I spied his friendly face from across the store as soon as I walked in and was so happy when I realised it was in the sale for £10, I couldnt resist! It's perfect for packing up (what feels like my life) for uni in the morning and will be a perfect size for weekends travelling back home and across to see friends! 

University this week has been a progressive productive week and I'm trying to stay positive! The sunshine definetely helps and so do the friendly faces at Uni, I feel we're a final year fashion team that pull eachother through the days that some times feel so difficult!

 I dyed my hair on Sunday in what is known as 'Rasberry Rebel' I like starting off a new term at Uni with fresh ends that I know by the time hand in rolls around will be faded worn out washed out and in need of some reviving! I normally dye my ends pink and purples but wanted to go for a reddier tone this time. At the moment its crazy bright and I need to dye my orange back into the roots so I'm not sure how much I love it right now, but am hoping with another wash the fluro-glow will tone down a little and I wont feel the need for sunglasses everytime I look in the mirror! When it gets properly into summer I want my hair to be like a sunset/sunrise, going from orange to a reddy pink to yellow tips. I can't imagine having normal coloured hair! ^.^ 

Shopping, Pancakes and Black Cats!

This weekend has been awesome. Its been nice to leave the stress of pattern cutting, toiling and sketchbook dilemnas behind me and go back home to see my sister Gemma, her boyfriend John and their cute crazy cat Jasmine! 

Me and Gemma explored a nearby city, making the best purchase so far this year: white dungarees for £14.99 (blog post to follow ASAP!), we made pancakes, played charades, watched Pride & Prejudice and made cornflake cakes! I finished off the visit seeing my favourite person ever Luke Chase! 

Its nice to get away and get refreshed before starting another week! This week we have to have 3 outfits toiled for our crits (I barely have 1...) and I need to finalise my print which I'm super excited about. Pattern cutting I suck at but print design I love! Its exciting to start to see everything V E R Y S L O W L Y start to come together ^.^

Today me and Angie went and explored some exhibitions in London to inspire us for our FMP's , we took our cameras and sketchbooks and had an awesome day ending with some cheeky shopping purchases from Zara and Topshop and a Burger King (we can regret tomorrow !) 

I love London. I know everyone says they love London but I seriously L O V E it there, I feel an affinity to the streets and buildings, the people and the art, the music and the fashion. I enjoy feeling like I don't stick out like a sore thumb (although I did have my fair share of colourful comments thrown my way throughout the day) and I just feel creative and happy. 

I hope one day I can work there and be inspired every day by just walking down the streets.

I know this is an idealistic point of view and  everyone upon hearing my declaration of love is quick to dampen my dreams and say if I lived there everyday I'd get fed up of the people/the commute/no money etc etc. But I don't care and am happy to live in my dreamland filled with an amazing job, amazing people and an amazing city! 

One day I hope I get to wake up and see London every morning ^.^

Writing a fashion blog is something I've been meaning to do for what feels like years now, but as 2015 has begun and I got the best camera EVER for Christmas this year, I feel inspired to play around with the automatic features (one day I'll learn manual focusing...) and take some photos of what I'm wearing during the week.

Today was an important day for me as I started a week long work placement in the design department of Tu for Sainsburys, I graduate from University this June and I'm trying my hardest to get as much experience in the fashion industry as possible, to try and find what I really love doing and what makes me happy, I'm not yet sure what that is but I'm trying to figure it out ^.^
