This weekend Me and Chase went car shopping to try and find my first car ^.^ Although as I sit and write this we haven't bought one, nor have I test drove any (I'm so scared I make Chase drive them), we have started crossing some off our list and moving others to the top of our list! My only needs are for it to be a bright colour (obviously) and small (again obviously because I can't park)!
Its exciting looking at cars, when I was learning to drive it felt like I'd never get my license and after ALOT of tears and everyone else patience with me I've finally managed to earn the freedom of a driver.
Me and my sisters grew up in a tiny village and we spent our whole childhood/teen years struggling to get anywhere, we used to work a part time job at a hotel that was only a 5 minute drive from us but on Sunday's when buses didn't run we used to walk an hour to work and back, across country roads and the local reservoir, dreaming of the day one of us could drive and have a car. I'm now 24 and I can't wait to rely only on myself, when you haven't had the most supportive upbringing and you've struggled for ALOT of things, finally having the chance to rely on yourself for everything thats exciting and my first little car is the most exciting thing for me ^.^
I'm so excited when I can drive Chase to surprises for his Birthdays, and I can drive and see my Best Friends for days out and evenings of tea and films, and I can't WAIT to annoy Gemma by constantly driving over to watch Drew Barrymore rom coms.

| Lol where we live is so sunday suburbia. Jacket: Oxfam | Dungarees: Lazy Oaf | Socks: Primark | Vans Mickey Mouse | Bag: HOH Sunglasses: ASOS | Phone Case: SkinnyDip |
I can't quite remember the last time I sat down and began to write on this little platform, but a lot has happened, some good and some not so good; but I feel with the sun beginning to shine and having passed my driving test last week (F I N A L L Y), things are starting to look up and I feel like good things are just around the corner.
This last weekend I got the chance to see some of my favourite people and spent the Saturday and Sunday catching up with old friends and finding a new love in lazerquest with my best friend for her birthday (I forgot how competitive I was until I started shooting small kids with my gun..).
At the moment it feels like I spend my whole week looking forward to two days, when I try and fill the hours with everything and everyone I miss Monday-Friday. Honestly I feel like having spent until I was 24 years old in education, coming out of it and perhaps not being exactly happy with where I am has made me miss the freedom and dreams constantly working towards something gave me. I miss being able to quit the days when you didn't see the point in them and instead you'd sit and watch six series of your favourite show or sit in the sun with your friends. It feels hard, and these past months when quite a lot has felt wrong and gone wrong all I want to do is quit the week and spend my life in the weekends. But I'm going car shopping this weekend and have a fringe appointment tomorrow (this is a live saving appointment, the last hairdresser i went to FEATHERED my fringe, I have wanted to cut it all off all day) and I feel like everything is moving forwards, with me beginning to work towards my own personal deadlines and goals rather than those set by teachers.
I nearly threw out the Lazy Oaf dungarees Im wearing in these photos, the straps on the back are breaking and I'd chucked it in my charity shop pile, when Chases little face sad at me discarding his birthday present from a couple of years back (and I think he was all the more sad for how much it cost, not so much the sentiment..) made me feel bad and put it in back in my wardrobe! I do love it and it felt weird to wear something short again, I used to ALWAYS wear short short things and since i got older (lol I'm only 24.. but seriously) I hate short things. I also found this feather jacket again after losing it in the chaos of moving and its made me want to track down more crazy fur/feather/tassel jackets (the latter of which I have my eye on and in my saved list on ASOS!)

| Dress: Lazy Oaf | Cardigan: Vintage | Shoes: Vans Disney | Socks + Headband : Topshop | Bag: HyperJapan | Pompom: Newlook |
Life has been quite busy lately, which has helped me occupy my time and keep from dwelling on the past + the future, which I tend to do ALOT lately! I got this dress from the Lazy Oaf sale and I LOVE it, its got a bugs bunny tuxedo print all over it and (although I hate to say this) the quality isn't the BEST in the world, the print is and for me illustrations/print/colour are the key things I want out of my clothes and that's why Lazy Oaf is pretty much me all over and will always be worth me paying for it ^.^ I've got an interview on Monday which I'm excited about + I'm doing some freelance trend work at the moment which makes me happy, there's nothing I love more than being creative and now everyone's going back to University again I'm starting to realise how much I miss drawing + making + pattern cutting.

Yesterday I escaped with my boyfriend to the beach to fill my Sunday with sand, sea + happiness. It was nice to leave home behind for a little bit and visit my happy place, I love Norfolk and I LOVE Hustanton, it reminds me of being a little kid and playing on the sand with my sisters, caravan holidays and panda pop discos, the 90s were the best! Going back, its like time has stood still, rides I remember being new when I was 7 are still there now + if I look close enough I could find the same horse I always chose on the carousel, with only the fading paintwork hinting that time has moved on.
Alot has been happening in my life lately and I'm beginning to look ahead and push myself forwards, Im excited for Autumn and to be with friends, enjoy hot chocolates, board games, fireworks, candles, films + ofcourse winter fashion! I got this camel coloured coat from New Look recently and I'm in love with it! Last year Primark did a mens version of this coat which I BEGGED my boyfriend to get (its completely not him hahaha) because I wanted it for me, and finally I've got one ^.^ AND it was only £29.99, which is such a good price for an Autumn coat that I don't mind if it only lasts this winter! I saw it when I was out shopping with my beautiful best friend Abby, whose moving closer to me really soon and I'm excited to wear this coat on my many visits to see her ^.^

Today was the nicest day! Me and Chase went up to Sheffield yesterday and had fun wandering around Meadowhall, eating nandos, watching (and chase obsessing over) Ant Man + staying oveernight watching hotel tv !
Today we carried on our journey up North and reached York! First stop was a yummy breakfast in a little cafe,we then walked under and over the city bridge, explored vintage shops, went on a guided tour around the cathedral, had fish and chips and went all round 'The Shambles'! York is so pretty and you can feel the history as you walk around, it was a perfect day out in my new Docs! (which im in love with!) and I managed to get some cool photos with this cat ^.^ I recently got this cockatoo blouse from a vintage shop in Nottingham and I am in love with it! It reminded me why I love to rummage for good finds and I definetely want to make a point of going round charity shops + car boot sales through the summer to see what else I can find ^.^

Yesterday I met up with one of my favourite friends to hang out in London + see Mcqueens 'Savage Beauty' exhibition.
I moved back home last week so it was nice to get away to my favourite city and feel immersed in a city culture that inspires and excites me. Leaving university has felt sad to me, mostly for what it represents: freedom and friends, it was nice to feel like neither of those have been taken away its just learning that by moving home I'm not moving backwards but forwards and I still have all the people and memories and freedom of the past 5 years but temporarily I'm having to figure out where to go to from here.
In London we wandered around the southbank area, eating amazing food truck food, drinking local brewed cider (where I learn't that asking for a fruity cider like Koppaberg is not the said thing...), enjoying the sunshine and talking ALOT ^.^
Angie had booked us tickets for the Mcqueen exhibition at 4.30pm so we wandered over there super early, raided the giftshop and got our phones ready to take sneaky photos (which apart from one blurred attempt neither of us managed to get any!). It was AMAZING to see Mcqueens collections, going from his MA graduate collection in 1992 through to his final collection in 2010. Seeing how far he came as a designer, the beauty and structure of his clothes and the knowledge of his craftsmanship was insane. He was a true genius. If you haven't been you need to get down and see it before it finishes, if you appreciate any form of art then you'll love this!
We finished the day by getting some photos of my outfit outside the infamous white houses, I loved my outfit for the day except when I went into the exhibition and just felt so boring compared to the exquisite work of Mcqueen... however I'll let that slide because y'know nothing I can afford is ever going to compare ^.^

| Bugs Bunny Bag (H&M Sale Now!) Garfield Socks: Lazy Oaf Sandals: Primark Trousers: Topshop Grey Top: Primark Kimono: Primark Hairdye: Raspberyy Rebel Schwarzkopff Semi Permanent :) |
I love this bugs bunny bag I picked up last week in H&M, I spied his friendly face from across the store as soon as I walked in and was so happy when I realised it was in the sale for £10, I couldnt resist! It's perfect for packing up (what feels like my life) for uni in the morning and will be a perfect size for weekends travelling back home and across to see friends!
University this week has been a progressive productive week and I'm trying to stay positive! The sunshine definetely helps and so do the friendly faces at Uni, I feel we're a final year fashion team that pull eachother through the days that some times feel so difficult!
I dyed my hair on Sunday in what is known as 'Rasberry Rebel' I like starting off a new term at Uni with fresh ends that I know by the time hand in rolls around will be faded worn out washed out and in need of some reviving! I normally dye my ends pink and purples but wanted to go for a reddier tone this time. At the moment its crazy bright and I need to dye my orange back into the roots so I'm not sure how much I love it right now, but am hoping with another wash the fluro-glow will tone down a little and I wont feel the need for sunglasses everytime I look in the mirror! When it gets properly into summer I want my hair to be like a sunset/sunrise, going from orange to a reddy pink to yellow tips. I can't imagine having normal coloured hair! ^.^
